What is this? DELUXE YUM is a body of work that consists of 14 incredibly POWERFUL WOMEN.

Prints on canvas, 2nd generation illustrations of fashionable women from the early 50's, 60's and 70's. Shown in varying compositions and graphic treatments. All art work is for sale!

chris monroe

Chris Monroe is an artist and illustrator who resides in Duluth, Minnesota with her son, Mickey. Her artwork has appeared in a wide range of magazines and publications, as well as on numerous record albums and in galleries since 1984. Along with her critically acclaimed comic, Violet Days, she has done work for Comedy Central, The Jim Henson Company, Mathew Street, Coca-Cola, and Shaky Ray Records. A graduate of The Minneapolis College of Art and Design, her art has been described by one critic as, "Imagine if Lynda Barry and Edward Gorey had raised a post-punk art school girl together. The result would likely look a lot like Chris Monroe's work. Attitude filled characterizations in balance with cool simplicity and quivering movement. Her use of pen, ink, water colors, and oil pastels make for some creepy fun for all ages."
