Here's a brief statement:

I am for an art that grows up not knowing it is art at all, an art given the chance of having a starting point of zero.

I like coffee. I really like lunch. However, I don't like artist statements.
My work is colorful and moody. Either one likes it or doesn't. I have no philosophy of a conceptual reality, whatever that means. I like music, flowers and people. They make for good subjects in my paintings.
My background consists of one part I think to much, one part I think to little and 3 parts I love what I do. I paint a lot. I also make a lot of mistakes. Despite a classical background, I love things that are out of proportion and oh well for composition.
Two and a half years ago I opened the ROGUE buddha GALLERY in Southeast Minneapolis. It has been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. I invite you to visit us sometime. Tell 'em Nick sent ya. (that's a joke 'cause I run the gallery).
