For his new project Yells At Eels, Dallas trumpeter Dennis Gonzalez has teamed up with his sons Aaron (bass) and Stefan (drums) to create an ensemble that presages the state of music in the 21st century. Combining Dennis' jazz experience (20+ years collaborating with musicians like Max Roach, Cecil Taylor, Susie Ibarra, Kidd Jordan, Charles Brackeen, Fred Hopkins and Malachi Favors) with the punk sensibilities of Aaron and Stefan (2+ years working together as the hardcore duo Akkolyte), Yells At Eels conducts a musical bridge between genres and generations that reflects a complete synthesis of its members' backgrounds.

Liquid Music Selections from the Sonic Circuits festival this features acts from the sonic circuits curated pool, from around the globe and a couple of friends just to mix it up a bit.

- Aaron Barnell: polyrthymic highly manipulated marimba, that's very listenable

- David Birchfield (NY): A truly awesome multimedia piece, that interprets and twists around ordinary websites

- Tom Heasley (Portland): Ambient Tuba, I know it sounds like a joke, but it's an amazing lasagna of textured drones, that you just sort of get lost in.

- Jack Pavlik/ Lorren Stafford: Sculptor Pavlek makes beautiful bendy music machines, McKnight fellowship winner Lorren Stafford (Richard for Cerebellum/A Most Happy Sound) manipulates them, while playing along on cello, this is really not to be missed...  seriously cool...

- Our Mine: Jermey Ysladacker, JT Bates, Tim Glenn If you haven't seen this Minneapolis Ambient super group (not to mention future perfect mainstay) then here's your chance, really one of Minneapolis' true treasures, amazing session places doing what they want

- Preston Wright (Alaska): demonstrating his interactive sonic labyrinth of the Uptown Neighborhood (a copy of which is on the free cd given away with admission)

Sonic Circuits : Future Perfect : Solid
members of Future perfect sound system doing their thing solo this is a weird one, essentially it's a Future perfect show without Future Perfect. It's our members just playing in a more traditional concert environment , no seamless transitions, or heady themes, or psychedelic projections Just a rare chance to see some great people doing what they do best. in a casual environment.

- DJ Andrew : up and coming master of the wheels of steel, cut'n pasting like a group of hyperactive fourth graders on arts and crafts day.

- Big Daddy, JR, and the Spook: (Jason Ducklinski, Terry Hannen, Tim Ritter) really one of the most profoundly amazing groups that I (Chris Strouth) have ever worked with.  Simple elegant, electronica free of clichés or gimmicks.

- Drone: a Mpls Dj legend , playing like you have never seen him before

- Grid: Huntley Miller (Poor Line Condition, T), JT Bates (Our Mine, T) intelligent beat oriented music

- Metaphor: Mike Croswell you name it he plays it, you could call it global ambient, but I wouldn't , that's way too limiting a term...

- DJ Terra Incognita: (TS) the Dj formerly know as TS, and Slantyeyedartf*ck. The ultimate in zen dj, Billie Holiday into Nurse With Wound into the Osmonds, into cartoon music layered over a lecture on Buddhism, he is the cultural blender of the last 100 years...
