sursumcorda.com today announced plans to open art space in former Foxfire Lounge
location.
MINNEAPOLIS,
February 21, 2001. From Web site to building site.
sursumcorda announced
early this morning that they have signed the lease for 319 First Avenue
North (formerly the Foxfire Lounge) and, in April 2001, will open a
space devoted to the cutting-edge experimental art and music that has
made their Web site a favorite. The multimedia space will include: a
cafe with an extensive wine and beer list and a performance stage; a
retail area showcasing the creative work of sursumcorda's
artists and musicians as well as antiques and collectibles; and a
coffee lounge. Cyber-stations will be scattered throughout the space and
live web-casts and other works in progress will add to the activity. Partner Dave Wesley reports, sursumcorda
the physical space will be as experimental as sursumcorda the Web site. There
will always be something being created, something coming to life,
whether its a live band on our stage, or a radio show were
broadcasting from the coffee lounge.
It will be a place to combine whats best about both old and
new approaches to art and musicto foster the energizing intersection
of art, music, technology and community.

history of success.
